Loulerie's Favourite Local Businesses to Shop This Christmas

Festive season has officially begun at Loulerie and with Christmas shopping in full swing, team Loulerie wanted to share their favourite local places to shop local this Christmas.

Louise’s Faves

Last year during those lockdowns, what really brought me joy in that gloomy time was my gorgeous flowers and stunning candles, especially the Winter beach scent from Appassionata. Their fabulous festive blooms for your table and home add that warm, cosy feeling to the home.

April and the Bear is another favourite of mine. I ordered some fantastic new glass wear for Christmas last year and I love their tongue and cheek cards as well as their Christmas decorations, they really do spark that Christmas cheer.

Ground Wellbeing is such a lovely brand. We use the oils in our office all year round and I love them at home too. I find Ground oils great for de-stressing after a long day. Their pieces come in gorgeous gift packaging and their delivery service is amazing. A great gift for someone special this season.

Erica’s Faves

The Kind is a sustainable lifestyle shop that is perfect for little gifts, and best of all, everything is sustainably sourced and sold! They have a physical store in Blackrock. But if that’s not in your reach, their online store is brilliant for speedy delivery. A beautiful small brand to support this gifting season.

The Fumbally Café is my absolute favourite brunch location. It is a go-to if you love seriously good coffee and food. It’s nestled into Dublin’s Liberties in Dublin 8. And believe me when I say, the queues to get a table are well worth the wait!

Conns Camera’s, our neighbour just on Clarendon Street, are always there for my camera questions and purchases! Whether you’re investing in something big, or dropping in your film to develop, Conn’s has definitely been my most helpful and efficient resource of 2022.

Aoife’s Faves

Jando is an Irish company that makes the most gorgeous unique prints. Such a personal and special gift to buy a loved one of their favourite location, a quote or a personalised picture.

Powerscourt Hotel & Spa is a relaxing getaway and is an absolute treat, even if it’s just for the day. The grounds are breathtaking and they have top class beauty treatments. You will come back feeling brand new. A voucher is such a gorgeous gift to treat a loved one.

For those who love exercising or who love lounging in activewear, the fabulous Bound Apparel have amazing sets! I personally love their activewear and have many pieces myself. The quality is absolutely phenomenal and so comfortable for either lounging or exercising.

Meriel’s Faves

Looking for a delicious acai bowl or curious as to what they are like? You have to try Roots. Their acai bowls are delicious and what makes it even better are the staff who are super friendly. They have two locations in Monkstown and Greystones. Their Greystones shop is also great as it's right beside the Dart too.

Pestle and Mortar have a wide variety of lovely skin care which I think can be a really nice gift for someone. They have just opened a store in Kildare Village too, which we spotted on our recent visit to Curated by KV. Their Kildare Village store and online shop have a great selection of gorgeous gifts.

What’s Christmas without chocolates! And if you’re going to indulge this Christmas, it has to be Grá Chocolates. These Galway-based chocolates can be bought online and in stores across Ireland too. Their mouth-wateringly, handmade chocolates are delicious. These are a great gift, and maybe pick up some for yourself too. The perfect ‘From Me.. To Me’ kind of gift.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions on how we can all shop local this Christmas and support Irish businesses this festive season. We love to hear how you will be supporting local this year.
