ALEXIS BITTAR MISS HAVISHAM COLLECTION

With his Spring Summer 2013 Miss Havisham Collection, Bittar calls upon his 80"s influences. Inspired by the New Wave Movement, Alexis combines hard and soft angles juxtaposed with the thin metal work. In this collection, he uses Chrysoprase, Labradorite Doublets - Slices of Labradorite with hand cut Citrine Hydro Quartz. The hand cut suspended stones, which seem to be gently floating, are drawn together by thin aerodynamic lines, realized by Bittar"s smooth and minimal metalwork. Miss Havisham to me really embodies the true essence of what jewellery design is 'Wearable Art'.
